North American Model Thoroughbred Owners' and Breeders' Association

The North American Model Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (NAMTOBA) is a realistic Thoroughbred Racing group dedicated to promoting realistic breeding and racing of model Thoroughbreds. Founded in 1990, NAMTOBA provides members with a year-long racing schedule, auctions and Year-End Awards.

The North American Model Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (NAMTOBA) was created to promote realistic breeding and racing of model Thoroughbreds in 1990. Members of the club have created a pedigree database to keep pedigrees as realistic as possible, using both model and real sires and dams. All model lines within the club trace to real horses to promote realism and accuracy within the club.

Racing in NAMTOBA occurs on four continents, following the Graded Racing calendars of more than ten countries. With horses actively racing on all surfaces in both hemispheres, NAMTOBA provides full race cards nearly every weekend for nearly every distance, surface and style. Horses based in the Northern Hemisphere may also take part in the Model Sire's Series (SS), a member-created model-only card to promote the model sires and dams in NAMTOBA.

If you are interested in joining, please contact our New Member Secretary, Amanda Selby. You will then be allowed to join the email group.
